GREGORY J. ZAEPFEL
Born and raised in Williamsville, New York, Greg was an ALL-WESTERN NY basketball player for Williamsville South High School.
A 1984 graduate of Allegheny College, Greg majored in both economics and philosophy and was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
In anticipation of joining his father in his real estate development business, Greg gained experience in the business, initially, by working on company construction jobs in Florida and Alabama.
In 1987, Greg joined his father officially in the real estate development company his father founded in 1974 as Zaepfel-Krog, now known as Zaepfel Development Co.
As the President of Zaepfel Development, Greg oversees leasing, financing and marketing operations. He is member of the National Association for Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and was invited to sit on the NAIOP Legislative National Park Development Forum. He is also a member of the Buffalo Chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA).
A former member of the Children’s Hospital Foundation Board and the Children’s Museum of Buffalo Board of Directors, Greg contributes a substantial effort to volunteer and charitable organizations. As Co-Chair of the Children’s Hospital Annual Golf Tournament and Annual Fund Raising Auction, Greg has been responsible for raising substantial dollars for the Children’s Hospital Foundation over the past several years. He has also chaired the Bison Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament.
In his dedication to educational issues, Greg has contributed personal time and dollars to the Alliance for Education and to the Kids Voting Board. He has received certificates of recognition from the Buffalo Board of Education and the Mayor’s Office for his volunteer activities and financial support of School 71 in Buffalo.
Greg has served as Chairman of the Corporate Annual Fund Raising Drive for Ducks Unlimited and is a golf, basketball and fishing enthusiast.
A devoted family man, Greg is father to James Austin, Remmington Marie and Zachary Ashford.
